Purpose of the role:

To provide innovative and effective Learning and Development solutions aligned to the business strategy that support our colleagues to meet their objectives and reach their full potential.

To enable the delivery and maintenance of all learning, development, and performance interventions.

Responsibilities - Key areas:

  • Provide and deliver L&D solutions to effectively and quickly onboard and engage colleagues embedding the Det Set Values.
  • Ensure mandatory training is completed and we are legally compliant.
  • Measure the impact and ROI of all L&D activities.
  • Effectively manage the development of Dee Set's LMS platform and the training and performance records within it.
  • Effectively manage the pre and post learning and development cycle from end to end.

Responsibilities of the role - People and Processes:

  • Lead on all aspects of the LMS lifecycle (learning needs analysis, design and development, solution implementation, facilitation, and evaluation).
  • Design, develop and implement internal L&D programmes/solutions as required, applying adult learning theories and methodology.
  • Design and update learning material/resources using a variety of mediums.
  • Design and facilitate training using a face to face, digital or blended approach for workshops and the LMS platform.
  • Develop effective induction programmes for new colleagues.
  • Oversee all learning, development, and performance interventions.
  • Manage and develop the LMS platform and all material on it.
  • Continually review and refresh training material to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Manage and maintain the performance life cycle of each Dee Set colleague.
  • Manage the apprenticeship levy – including conversations with providers, and any associated documentation.
  • Monitor the progress of apprentices on apprenticeship programmes.
  • Lead on all learning and development communication.
  • Manage the organisations LMS to monitor compliance with mandatory training activity and records of training.
  • Work with business units to identify individual and team training requirements.
  • Develop strong working relationships to understand ongoing business requirements.
  • Understand operational processes and procedures to ensure training is relevant and up to date.
  • Lead and/or be involved in projects as required in collaboration with stakeholders, SMEs etc.
  • Help drive a culture of continuous professional development.

  • Ability to identify needs, create and deliver engaging learning, evaluate the impact, and keep learning alive.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritise to meet business needs.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience of working with e-learning/LMS.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Package.
  • Creative Thinker, Solutions and results focused.

Desirable Skills & Experience: 

  • Relevant L&D qualification.
  • Implementation/Management of internal programs.
  • Thrive LMS.
